Guiding Question:

Will a bird feeder next to a window get more or fewer birds than one not next to a window?

Procedure:
Fill two tube bird feeders with songbird mix, and place one next to the house where there is a window, and the other next to the house where there's not a window. (one house, not two.)After five days, measure the height of seed left in the feeders. Measure for three days.

Materials:
Two tube bird feeders, bird seed, a house with at least one window, birds.

Hypothesis:
I think that the birds will go to the feeder that is awayfrom the window, because they won't be scared away by the people at the window.

Results and Data:
I measured the seed eaten by the height of the seed in inches. Each feeder is 15 inches tall.
placehold Feeder One Feeder two Weather
Day one No difference No difference Cold 'n Cloudy
Day Five 5.5 Inches 3.75 Inches Snowy

Interpretation of Results:
The dark blue cylinders represent the feeder next to the window. The light blue represent the one not next to the window. the second two columns are after five days of feeding.

Conclusion:
I was right! The birds ate more from the feeder away from the window. I don't know if it was for the reason I hypothesized, but that's what the results seem to be.
